you exercise in the gym

When I think of all the people I have met on foot for the past 7 years, I do not remember anyone saying that they walked to lose weight. Maybe some were not comfortable admitting it, but I think, as I speak, weight loss is not a big deal as to why people walk. But to be honest, why not on earth? Many of my friends are almost obsessed with losing weight and keeping fit. I think it’s a mental thing. Or perhaps it is not just a matter of walking in the wild like going to a fashion gym to exercise for an hour or two regularly. God knows … But the fact is, walking is one of the best ways to lose weight! Can you believe me? Read on.

If you exercise in the gym, do aerobics or other high-powered sports, you can expect to burn 4-800 calories an hour. Compare that to walking and you will find that walking is a low level of that range. During the trip, the “normal trekker” burns 4-500 calories per hour. So why is walking so good at losing weight?

The two main reasons are:

1. When you take a trip you do it all day. You burn calories from morning to evening, not just a few hours in the gym.
2. On footpath away from the temptations of daily life, cookie pot, junk restaurants etc.

Let’s look at the statistics.
Suppose you are like me, a man, 30s, about 160/72 pounds

.

1. You travel and carry another 15-20 pounds (7-10 kg) of items in your bag. You are going on a beautiful, difficult, but exciting journey. You walk 8 hours a day, burning 500 calories an hour. That’s 4,000 calories you burned right there. You will probably burn another 1500 calories while resting the rest of the day.

TOTAL CARAL LIST: 5500 CAL / DAY

2. Do some strenuous exercise or exercise, on average one hour a day. That will burn 800 calories. Other than that, you live a normal life, with a balanced job, going to school, office or a small job, shopping, housework etc. As a result, your body will burn up to 2700 calories a day.

TOTAL CARAL LIST: 3500 CAL / DAY

Do you see my point?

While walking you burn 2000 calories more per day, compared to hard work! However, at least in this example. Accurate statistics depend on you. When you gain weight, carry a heavy pack, a long trip, a tight spot etc., you will burn extra calories. If you are thin and take it easy, you will heat up a bit. But these numbers are quite common.

Of course, you probably eat less while walking. But the extra calories burned will usually come from burning your body fat. Walking is a steady activity, so it is very easy for the body to burn your body fat, at a slower but firmer pace.

And besides being great for weight loss, walking brings you closer to the amazing natural environment and your body. I’m not traveling because I want to lose weight. I do it for the fun and the feeling it gives me whenever I have a vacation for a few days or a few weeks to keep it somehow. And even though I am not overweight, I always come back very thin and, for some reason, have a new and better look at life!
